My head lights work fine until I put on the high beams - then the head light (both high and low beams) go off. I turn the head light switch off for a few minutes and then the low beams work fine - but if I put the high beams on again both high and low beams go off - it seems that there is a breaker that needs to cool of and reset. Can anyone point me to the problem. I just put in a new turn siginal switch, but I had that same problem with the old switch! I changed the trun switch because I only had left turn signal on right turn.

check for a short to ground on the high beam wire
