I have a 1992 Wrangler with the 2.5 in it. I am wanting to put 35's on it and I am looking for suggestions on what I should do. I have over 100,000 miles on it. I have a two inch body lift with MORE reverse shackles and tera flex revolvers in the rear, and JKS's discos on it. I am in college so I am tight on money, but I am thinking a RE 4 inch lift, and 4.88 gears. Do I need bigger axles? What type of sye should I look into? It is still a daily driver and I was wondering what my road speeds and handling will be like. Any advice would really help me.
Thanks a lot. Peter Dirks |

Where does this go? Rockcrawler |
My 92 has a 1 inch body lift and the RE ED 4.5 on it I have plenty of room for 35's but run only 33's due to the D35c rear end. Most folks say anything bigger the 33's and things grenade pretty easy. I run the JB conversion SYE a super simple install and you dont have to remove the t-case to do it. It added 4.5 inches to the lenght of my driveline for a total of 18 inches. I also have 4.11 in mine and it rides and drives great for a daily driver and thats with no rear trac bar or front sway bar. Myself I think for daily use 4.56 gears might work out a little better but that just my opinion at best a toss up between 4.56 and 4.88's
