I have a lockrite locker that I am trying to remove the spings and pins to replace them. I want to do this without disassembling everything. Any ideas?

You are going to have to take the locker out to get the pins out. There isn't any other way to do it.

Stupid Yup, you have to take the entire locker apart to get the springs and the pins out. It sucks but if you ask me i think that is personally hella fun. Why are you going to replace the springs/pins? Is there a replacement springs and such or what... ive never heard of that!

I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago. Not a big job by any means. I like to pull the whole chunk out. Gives you a great opportunity to inspcect the pinion gear, shims, bearings, races, & clean out all the crap that accumulates over time. Randy's ring & pinion sells the springs and pins in together for about 20 bucks.

Thanks for the info. I am repaling them hopeing it will fix my problem. The locker worked fine for awhile. Then after awhile it started slipping really bad. Going down the road it would catch and slip and throw me all over the place making some major clanking noises. It is not locking correctly. I am thinking maybe one of the pins got sheard or something.

Sounds like your on the right track. If the spring and pin kit doesn't fix your problem, then the teeth have worn down too much and you'll need to replace the locker.

I dont think that the teeth have worn to much because it happened farily quick after it was installed. Like 3-4 months and I dont do any heavy wheeling. It worked fine one day and I stuck, rocked it till I got out and drove home. As I was going home it started popping and slipping.

At the river. Pretty good hills to climb over there.
