Alright, well i have a 90 yj with the 258. Right now i have about 5 inches of lift with 33s and stock D30 and D35. They have 3.07 gears and lock right lockers. Its a daily driver and gas mileage is killing me. I'm thinking about 4.56s or 4.88s for now until axle swap happens. What do you think is the best route?

4.56's. 4.88's are way too deep for 33's

street driven vehicle will work best on 4.11's. If you are gonna go up to 35's when you do gears, go ahead and get bigger gears. Cheapest thing to do is keep an eye out for stock 4cyl axles.... cheaper than buying gears and gettign them installed, and then you can still sell your stock axles, or keep em for parts.
