just found out a neighbor of mine has a old classic bronco sitting in the woods behind his house and im pretty sure i can get it real cheap if not free.
they are ford 9" rear and 44 front right?
would it be a good swap for my 93?
are the early bronco 9's centered and not offset diffs like the 78-79 150's?

Not sure what the track width is, but it will be close to stock. Should be the D44/9" as you said. If I remember right, the EB 9's only had a 28 spline axle shaft, and the small inner and outer bearings. If you,re going to stay with 33's, the 28 spline will do well, even for 35's if you're easy on the skinny pedal. There should be some off-set to the rear pumkin, simply due to the 9" third member design. This is not a problem at all. Only consideration for the front axle is if the pumkin is on the drivers side or not. I can't remember what the EB's had. If they're cheap enough, I'd go for it.
If it were me, I'd consider building the Bronco, unless it's a rust bucket. Those are cool little trucks.

Oh...looking at your sig, how in the world do you keep 33's out of the fenders with only a 2,5" lift and a 1" body lift, other than extended bump stops???? I run the RE 4.5" ED lift, a 3" body lift, and STILL get into my front fender flares with 33's!!! But I don't run any trac bars or sway bars either! Big Grin

I've been really happy with my set up. I recently put their 5.5" long arm on a friends TJ. That suspension system ROCKS! Big Grin Rockcrawler Big Grin
I plan to go with RE when it's time for the wife's XJ to grow a bit. But we're keeping it on the mild side so we can still flat tow it behind the motor home.
