My drive shaft came off going down the road and broke the transfer cast housing. I replaced the housing, drive shaft and yoke. I now have a small leak coming out from where the new housing was put on. What could this be? Is there some sort of gasket that needs to go on when replacing the housing? It is red fluid I guess transmission fluid. Where do I add more if needed?

A bead of RTV needs to go between the the case halves. Bolting the halves together needs to be done carefully or they could crack. To fill the case, look at the back side (facing the rear axle) and there are too large plugs. One is the drain, one is the fill.
