ummm wow tiny TRE's still not flipped and way expensive......

but it looks really cool, i would think some 1 ton tre's in a inverted y from parts mike would be better, or a tera knucle and 1 ton tre's w 1 1/8 .25 dom in a standard over the knuckle would be just as good(might not fit with the leafs but you can measure mine).

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!!

I would have to say PARTSMIKE too. I have arms on there way for my d44.

That system looks kinda funky and way complicated. How's the bumpsteer in that thing?

I dont know, its not my YJ. In theroy, that system should have no bump steer because the drag link angle is back to stock.

I'm just looking at different things to do, I could always fall back on my original plan wich was 1 ton K5 TRE's and I would have the same steering angles that I have now...wich are not bad.

I guess if you wanted to spend a lot of cash to be different.

If your going w/ D44 I would definetly go high steer full cross over. I just laid my hands on the OTT Steering arm and there sweet. Full width D/44 with chevy 6" tuff country springs 2.5 raised arms TJ pitman arm no clearance problems.

Im gonna keep the D30 up front. The price is actully not bad compared to others. The whole kit runs for about $425, were as a MORE kit is about $600 for the basic thing. I can build a 1 ton set up for about $350 but I will have to ream out my knuckles and pit-man arm. The knucles wont be a big deal but there is no way in hell that my pit-man arm is comming off, I've tryed heating it, I tryed 2 weeks worth of PB plaster, and I have broken 3 HD pit-man arm pullers trying to get it off.

Say Ren...who makes the pullers you keep breaking? I bought one from Snap-On, and have really loaded the crap out of it, and it pops the pitman arms off every time. Usually load the thing up for all it's worth, the smack the end of it with a BFH or air hammer ( I use my trusty 5x rivet gun! ).

Oh, the K-Link? Kinda funky looking to me. I think I'd run the set up YJLopes has. I like the *KISS* meathod. Less parts means less stuff to fail! I'm with "LocalRich" here, in that it doesn't seem to gain you any strength or extra reliability.

I made a puller after breaking one. Over 1 inch thick plate (scrap from work). Coarse thread 3/4 in. bolt. If I was making another one I would go with a fine thread for the Threads per an Inch. What about a GM car steering box replacment. I like the One ton Ideal off the shelf parts and nothing silly to replace on the trail.

all I have to say is 'How many of us have bent drag links on the trail?' now try sleeving that link arm with your high lift handle. Not happening. Get a high steer knuckle from tera and make your own links.... beefy as you want.

Id say make your own as well. I have bent stock tie rods, and drag links out the ***. I even bent the currie hd steering on my tj that i have now. My buddy with a yj liked the k-link to, but its just to small for the cost.

I have bent or broken the following:

1 - tierod (bent)
2 - tie-rod ends (one bent, the other snaped at the threads)
2 - drag links (both broke in half at the same spot)

luckly, I had spares everytime...but having a steering failure on the trails sucks ***. Everytime it happened to me I would be in a really bad spot too wich made trying to get out of it impossable so the repairs had to be done on site.

I bent a tie rod into a v in the middle of wopum at paragon, had to rebend in the stagin area and drive home. Bent a drag link in west virginia, had to drive it like it was home. Finaly went to currie hd steering, big **** by the way, bent the tierod on that at paragon. The currie is twice the size of the k link. It might be nice limiting bump steer and all that good stuff, but is it worth loosing ur entire steering on the trail. Spend the extra, build somethin hd.

Did you look at the Tera Flex system. It replaces the passenger knuckle. Check Sam's Offroad for the best price.

I thought about it, but after talking with LocalRich (he has it on his TJ) I decided against it.

Ren,

Can you be more specific. Right now I am in stock configuration and I can't believe the Tera system is worse. I really been looking at this kit, but have not heard much about it.
