I was going to use custom springs on soa, but the cost of them compared to waggy springs is a lot cheaper. I know that the waggies give roughly 2 inches of lift and strech the wheelbase 4 inches when used front and rear. My questions are do i used only the front springs on all corners?(got mixed answers)Also where to get them? will this be enoung with 2 inch body, inch or so from shackles and soa on 60/14 axles to clear 40s with tj flare. I think it will.
I have a qestion under the same topic. Maybe Rockram can answer? I used superlift 1" YJ springs on my rear SOA and they're too soft. I was wondering how far waggy springs would push my axle back. I could really use 2" more wheelbase to make everything fit just right. How far do the the waggy springs push things back? and are they the same length as my YJ springs?

after hours looking around the web i did find more info on the waggy springs. You have to use the front waggy springs on all corners. It will push the rear axle back 2 inches and the front forward 2 inches. I read people had problems with steering linkage hitting diff cover. the waggy springs are 1 inch longer then yj stock springs and give roughly 2 inches of lift. if anyone has pics with waggy springs please post them. I might look into having a local spring shop add a leaf and arch 1 inch. Maybe i dont know yet.
Sorry I'm so late getting to this. Been working too much. Anyway waggy springs, I orininaly used 5 leaf all the way around. They work and the ride is great. But the fronts began to sag too quickly. I replaced the front with Rancho 44044 springs they're 2" waggy lift springs. so far so good. I am running the 44044 in the front with 38's and a 3" bl with the front fenders really wacked and have plenty of clearance. Patriot the answer is 2" and I believe a bit longer. Here is a pic to judge the wheelbase in this I still have the 35's on

Thanks Rockram. I think the rancho RS44044 are the springs for me. I've been poking around and I'm having trouble finding someone that sells just the springs not in kit form . where did you get yours?

Here is mine. Waggy front springs are 2" longer than YJ springs, and the center pin is offset 1".
A YJ spring is 45" long with centered pin (so 22.5" on either side), and a waggy spring is 47" long. The waggy spring is offset 1", thus making one side 22.5" and the other 24.5". Depending on which way you turn your springs, you can gain 2" or you can have stock wheelbase, just a longer, flexier spring.
On my jeep, the brand new springs gave about 3"-4" of lift, however, I think they would have settled. I have since changed the suspension so i dont know for sure.
This setup is SOa all around with JC Whitney 7 leaf waggys and 36" TSLs. BTW, the front HP D44 is for sale.
Thanks for the info Road Head. Did you go from the rancho springs to the whitney springs? Why? Which one sat higher. I'm looking to clear 37" SSR's and the set up in the picture looks like it would be just right for me.

It's out of a 73 Chev 1/2 pickup. Narrowed to Scout width to match the Scout rear. Then the inner C's were put on with 6 degrees caster. The right outer C was milled, drilled and tapped and high steer arms built. Detroit, 4.56 gears, Warn shafts and CTM joints. Use the Chevy spindle and Ford hubs and rotors to maintain 5 on 5.5

I was thinking of them rancho 44044 springs but think they might be too tall or i might just go with 40 -42 iroks. Jeepy2 can you post some pics of your rig.
