Getting a new set of BFG's and the garage (TownFair Tire) is pushing a four wheel alignment on me. Does this make sense? I have a 94 wrangler with the 4 1/2 RE lift. All leaf springs. Rear track bar removed. Basically, I know they are not going to shim the rear if it were out of alignment, or mess with bearings, etc. I do understand that there may be a thrust angle which the front tires should be adjusted to match the rear, but should they charge for a four wheel alignment to do this? Just trying to make sure I don't get ripped off (more). Thanks!

Depends, if you wheel a lot, lifetime alignment may be OK if it's a good shop. But you can do it yourself also. Factory specs that the tire shop has aren't what will work woth your rig neccessarily. A few bucks in short angle iron, a couple bungies, and a $5 angle finder and you can set your stuff up better.
If you have them do it, make sure you get the specs of before and after. Keep it as a reference and then measure it yourself with your tools for comparison. That way you can return to happy settings after trail or repairs/upgrades have changed it. Good luck, Mark To boldly go where we're too stupid to know any better.
