Up until now, the *fenders* have been steel, with plastic flares. Now, the fender and flare are one big single plastic piece. Personally, I don't know that I'd really consider the new JK's to even have front "fenders", it's more like they have no actual fender, just a ginormous flare. There were a crap load of 4 door jk's at camp jeep this year driven by chrysler people. on the trails too. seem pretty nice.

the ride is nice and a definite improvement over the TJ, mostly thanks to the tuned suspension and larger control arms. Even at 24 psi coming down or going up Cadillac Hill was a blast. I bet Mike will have some more info and pix shortly and it was a true pleasure talking with you shortly on the trail Mike. BTW: did you still do the whole trail?
