Im looking at getting the new JK 4 door, but i want the dana 44 front and rear. In the past if you got the tow pacage or the sahara modles you got the 44 rear but the frint stuck with the dana 30. As i understad it if you get the tow pacage this time around it will upgrade to the 44 front and rear. Is this how it is done or do i have to get the rubicon to get the 44?

as you should know, some of the new wranglers come in 2wd and 4wd. Also, all of them are 5.5 inches wider because they switched to full width axles. I know that isn't relavent, however, yes you do get the D44 rear. The D30 is still there unless you get the "upgraded heavey duty axles" from the rubicon package. You also have the option of getting the 'trash-lok' for the rear when ordering it from the dealership.
