Whhoooooo Hoooooo! Oh, boy, oh boy, another trim package, even got sound and graphics!! Those features normally will take the city bound to new heights of exploration, over the most mean looking speed bump and right up an occasional dirt road, maybe, and only if its not raining. There, I feel better.

Isn't the X model with a D44 essentially (sp?) a Sport?

Sigh, I remember when there were only 3 models. My TJ is sorta weird though, as it's an SE but has every option a sport has with the exception of cruise control. Now, geez, you could go crazy trying to pick out which one you want!

I thought the defining part of a Sport was that is was the model that got the 4.0L. It ended up coming with all sorts of other not so useful stuff like carpet, back seat, radio.

Then the Sport started creaping past its under 20K price point. So then they took the SE, added a 4.0L and called it an X to allow you to get the 4.0L under 20k again.

At least they ditched the one model that they had a year or two ago. Cromeillusion paint and a big stereo were the only differences from a normal Jeep. Can't remember the name of that one.

Now how about a Willys Rubicon. OD green paint with locking axles.

Sorry, I just got carried away with lust! Smile

Jeep has a long history of repackaging standard items and then increasing their market appeal with a decal or two.

Jeepers have a longer history of taking the stock offerings, discarding the useless parts, and then doing as we please with whats left. I prefer our method!

I know.. if only they would just let us order the TUB + VIN from the factory and then let us do what we want from there Smile

Uhh I'll take a Rubicon with these options:
Hold the carpet
Hold the wheels/tires
Hold the back seat
Hold the suspension links
Hold the axles
Hold the transmission and t-case
Hold the engine.
Hold the mayo

And a pickle

Can I get that to go please Smile
