The longer video clip of the guy in the black TJ shows the guy spinning his tires for a good 15 seconds and NOT MAKING ANY PROGRESS! That's why his axle broke. You can't do that with a D35.

Athough the last time I saw a D35 break (CTeamTJ's) there was very little, if any wheel spin going on. I guess he just lined things up perfect and as soon as the tire started going over the rock SNAP!

isn't that where they wrap wet tissue around the shaft and say it's stonger.

changing the 35 shaft was the easy part. that damm lunchbox locker was a pita though.

I just followed the link on "thepagon's" starting post and one of the pictures leads to this web site http://www.geocities.com/jeepaccident/

It is a 2001 Cherokee with a Dana 35c, this is from Australia. Jeep does not offer the dana 35 in the Cherokee (or the Liberty aka Cherokee in Australia) seems like maybe they know it is a weak point???

i broke 2 pooper 35's in my jeep within 3 weeks of each other and i finally said **** this and put a **** ford 9 inch under it aint aint had no trouble
