I have a project CJ7 that someone else started and I finished. I'm not a real seasoned mechanic, so I pose this question. I have a '93 4.0 mated to a '94 AW4; should I be able to see the flywheel? I've been concerned about this for a while and am now prepared to fix, if necessary. It seems like mud, rocks, etc. could just get right in my tranny.

No, sounds like you are missing a dust shield or two. Should have been a 2 piece aluminum dust shield to cover up that part.

Yeah, alosix, you're right. I'm missing my lower dust shield. Thanks

I'm not sure if the TF999 dust shields end up being the same, but I should have an extra set at some point. Might be able to send them over to you.
