Well, for those of you who thought you'd seen it all, heres something new. I just picked up some new tires and wheels on Friday, and this is what i ended up with. 36" IROK's on 20" Boss aluminum wheels.

Let the discussing begin. Big Grin

Oh, btw, dont worry these wont be getting banged up on the rocks. I've got 38.5" TSL's for that. These are my wheels for blingin' and showing off while cruising around town. Cool

Um...maybe you could invest in a winch if you sell the light bar. As for the rest of the rig, whatever floats your boat, but the dubs are not for me.

Good for you! For street wheels I think 20s would be perect. You reduce the sidewall back to a manageable level.

For wheeling, well unimogs use 20s!!!!!!!

I give you kudos for having the balls to be one of the first to do it!!!!!!

(now if they has super low profile race tires on it then it would be a different story)

I do dig the stance of the 20s. Really don't like the choice of wheel, but each to his own.

Hmmm Mog.

Even though rotational weight is increased in a MAJOR way? Hmmm....I'm still thinking 17's would be ideal. But hey...that's just me.

Nice tires. You don't want to hear what I think about the rest of it.

btw..I hear the TSL's run small, and the Iroks run big. How much difference is there between the two?

Well, in response to all the feedback-

At first, when i started looking for tires & wheels, my brother had the idea. I told him no way and that hes an idiot. A week later i see a lifted Navigator in town with this combo and i said, "oh, its awn" Another reason why i did this was b/c noone else has done it before. The last reason was the price. I got it all mounted and balanced for $1400 bucks. Big Grin Thats a smokin price.

As usual, pics don't do justice. And the wheels aren't even chrome, they are a machined finish.

Pete - These 36" IROKs on 20 x 9" wheels at 27 psi stand a full 1" higher than my bro's 36x14.50 on a 16 x 10" wheel at 32 psi.

Chrisp70 - The wheel alone is 32 lbs., the tire seemed about the same, but i didnt weigh it.I know what your thinking, and yes this tire was extremely light. But when they got mounted up, they feel like they weigh 100 lbs. each. Its difficult to put them on my rig. They've got a load range of "D"

If they are going to be street tires why dident you get allterrans or something like that? Irok's rubber compound is so soft that its comparable to a red label Krawler.

IMO i dont like the look at all. Seems like a street jeep though. 20''s are for mogs or street rigs. 17'' would be the max tire height i would go with. But to each his own.
