Hey dude, did you try saving them within Word as .HTM documents instead of .doc?

If you do this they should be able to save in your yahoo briefcase and be viewed in any web browser that supports HTML.

If that doesn't work there are several sites that let you store/share your data online.

One of them is:
MoFile.com

You can hit google with a "free file storage" search and get 52 million hits.

I guess that depends, when you inserted the pics did you place them into the document as pictures (ie - insert, picture)? You might try inserting them as hyperlinks instead of pictures. Remember Word doesn't speak true HTML, it's sort of a Frankenstein version.
Try inserting the images as hyperlinks (linked to that folder on your desktop). Bye the way, you can relocated that folder that's on your desktop if you want to.

P.S. It may be easier if you used an application more suitable to this project. Do you have a program that comes with Office called Publisher? It comes with MS Office SBE (small business edition) and higher.

OK, I've found several problems. I setup an account just like yours on yahoo. I setup the briefcase, created a folder and put a test file in it.
Here's what I found while setting the attributes for share on that folder:
"Note: The free service on Yahoo! Briefcase does not allow public sharing of files/full-size images."

I took that to mean that You Can't Use Large (bandwidth intensive) Files, so I used a small one (167k).

Try This

Dude, in the above listed (working) example I used MS Word and imported picture from the menu.
Then I saved it as a .doc type document.
Then I uploaded it to the briefcase.
Then I made sure my briefcase was "shared" with everyone.
Then I copied the URL that links to the doc.
Then I made the above post an hit you with the link.

You insert the html "link" from the same menu you insert the picture from (ie insert-link).
Make sure you link it to the pics already on the website (briefcase).

What size photos are you putting into the doc?
Try to scale it back until it works, then load it up until you find the failure point.

Hey, in your briefcase (on your name line) does it say your folder is shared with everyone?

Did you see my linked .doc?

Nothing.

I don't actually open the link, I right click on the link in my folder and then hit properties and copy the link from there.

I don't think the problem is with html or .doc.
Can you try to link a pic for me?
