What a bummer. Frown Got your PM about Clayton, but I had already commited to working Saturday. Sure would have been a good trip to break in the new 35's!

Last time I was in Clayton, is was on Mr. Freeling's place with Pagan and some of his friends. Fun stuff!
So where in Texas do you guys plan to go? Texas Crawl is coming up next month. If you want to go to the insane side, The WHeelin' Ranch is much closer, and has some pretty insane hills to tackle. I came close to rolling at the top of one last year! Eek

The new guitar is now reality! I sent the deposit today. The final plans are drawn, and wood has been purchased. Should be cool seeing pictures of it as it goes together.

Tell Robin, Harold, and the gang "HI" for me !

For the curious among you, the luthier has put up a page on his web site showing my guitar as it is being built. And, now that I have all the copyright stuff taken care of, I can let the cat out of the bag on the coolest part of this guitar. I was able to obtain permission to use an image of my namesake cartoon character for the inlay on the 12th fret! Chech it out here DtheM's guitar

Thanks Mark! The original idea was to use plain Mother of Pearl for the inlay. But Steve took on the challenge of going for a full color image, which was entirely his own idea. This guy is quite the artist, so I had no problems at all trusting his judgement. He has been very good to work with during the entire process of designing and building this guitar.
