Hey guys, it seems like this has been a bad week for me. I dont believe in luck but if I were to this has been an unlucky week. First off I failed two test in very important classes (anyone good with organic chemistry?) and then I stab myself with a screwdriver up to my eye. Lesson learned wear safety glasses. Well as if I didn't learn from that, im playing racquet ball with my room mate on my birthday (3/09) and he nails me SQUARE in the eye hitting as hard as he can. I go down instantly, the pain is so unbearable I scream as loud as possible while flopping on the ground like a wimp (then again, IT HURT). That eye blacked out and blood was all over my face again (remember stabbing my eye previously with a screwdriver?) Since I could not see I am at the ER where their facility is how you say POS. I am transferred to the hospitol in shreveport where they told me I have pressure and bleeding yada yada... Basically im good but need to be checked on frequently during the week so see improvement.
What a touching yet memorable birthday, right?

Lesson.... wear goggles even when you sleep, your feet may take you everywhere you go but what good is going there if you cant see whats in front of you or on the way.?

Dood!

That does suck, I hope everything works out OK, and you feel better soon.

As for the chemistry, mix the vinegar with the baking soda to make the volcano! Big Grin

my birthday yesterday was a little less eventful -> work and soccer practice, neither of which did result in (serious) injury Smile

Hopefully you'll recover quickly Rockcrawler

happy birthday iceman!
well dr. said i have a slight tear in my retina (sp?) and should not do any straining activity for at least a week, including my concert on monday. Which also sucks because i was supposed to go mountain biking this weekend. OH btw: vision came back while i was sleeping so I can kind of see, a little blurry but all will heal with time. Once again I would like to thank the people of Rockcrawler for your positive reinforcement, you guys are awesome!

May be tough typing from inside that kevlar bubble! Wink
Seriously guy, how's the eye doing? That much trauma in a short period of time is going to take while to heal up completely.

sorry guys, been doin finals for a while and thought now that im back home, time to check the rcboards. Eye is doing great 417 laser stiches held up really nice, so far full recovery. Anyways next time goggles are a must! My Dr. told me that there is no substitute like being young so that to me is a sign that i healed up nicely compared to being 40+ years of age. Thanks for the comments, if anyone else loses an eye or if i wind up doing the same thing again (knock on wood)then i'll keep yall posted!
