Well here's my story:
After getting my husband hooked on jeeping 2 years ago. The 03 TJ was becomeing a bone of contention as to who is going to get to drive it for the day. It wasn't a problem when he was underway, of course I drove it everyday...but now that he has returned, our routine of "Who's going to get to drive the Jeep" was beginning to remind me of the comercial where the husband and wife jump out of bed and race the other for the vehicle. It wouldn't be so bad but all of our jeepin buddies give me a really rough time because our other vehicle is a Z3 Beemer.
Well he has fixed that problem... My Husband aka "Squid in a Jeep" has gotten me my very own jeep! A 97 TJ Sahara ...Found it Saturday bought it Sunday and I can honestly say that the next time he has duty I'm going to be hard pressed not to sleep in it.
Enough Drivel
My little Green Machine has a couple of little things I would like to repair...none of any real importance I think. I will be questioning all of you from time to time as I get stumped. I don't want my Hubby to have to do all of the repairs on it...even though he enjoys doing it. And I probably won't be doing any real work on it unless he is around. After all I have to enter the garage aka "The land of Man"
I sincerly hope that all of you will understand when I ask an obviously simple, stupid questions and not ridicule me to badly.
Till then thanks!

There is much in the way of California Pin Striping on his and mine looks as if it was owned by a grocery getter!
I'll fix that!!!

That has to be a Jeep guy's dream come true. A gf/wife who wants a Jeep that bad. What you should do, is lift it while he's underway and when he comes back, he'll have the "little Jeep" and you'll have the big one. Big Grin

Hey RJ...I Like the way you think. But I still have to let him have his thunder!
And as for him being lucky...Remember I'm the one who infected him with this sickness, I just consider myself lucky that he liked it, even if it may have been alttle to much!
Got to go there is daylight and a baby jeep in my driveway that needs attention.
Thanks Guys

The garage is "the land of man"?

Pooh! Women can often be better wrenchers because we are less likely to cross thread or snap bolts. What we lack in strength we make up for in brains. And if you can figure out how to repair a necklace, unscrew a bottle of nail polish and can operate a hair dryer...you can wrench on your own Jeep. I just gutted mine last weekend for a cage build.

Anyway, congrats on getting one of your own. What are you going to name the little greenie?

Here at the office I'm this wild woman with a wrench...on the trail I'm a slightly confused female with a box of tools and only half a clue.

I'm glad to see the ladys step up and speak out..

I will be the first to admit (in public on an open forum) that my wife knows a lot more about tools then I do.... but she won't let me buy her a jeep - she thingks one Money Pit / Play Toy is enough for our family....

Here's a picture of my lady ramping her dad's jeep in back in early 2000... (only one I handy I could link to).

Wouldn't be much fine if my wife and Daughter couldn't/didn't enjoy it as much as I do...
