OK i used to use piolet to get my online music to my pc. whats another site/program to use? i refuse to use kazaa. i dont want a pay site.. what are you guys using?

I've used this for about 2 years now and it is SOOO worth the bucks. There are few things I can't find on there and you can listen all you want with no extra fees. Unlike iTunes, you can listen to whole songs, albums, whatever. No need to buy unless you want to burn to a CD. There are few exceptions and few bands you can't find on there. Lots of Indie stuff, too.

Most artists, and especially indy artists, make the majority of their income through CD sales. So why not support the music you love?

I'll agree that ASCAP, BMI, and other such organizations are more concerned with lining their own pockets than the musicians they claim to support. So, I DO support indy music. I just bought two EP's from Cadillac Sky knowing I'll see the guys again in September and their full length CD will be out by then. So yeah...I spend a LOT of money on music CD's! I try to purchase the CD's from indy artist at their shows so the money goes straight to them. Plus I meet some great people and musicians at small venue performances.
