Completely off topic right.. but it does warm the garage so installs/maint can happen when its freezing outside.

Here's the deal. I picked up a 30,000 BTU blue flame garage heater from Notherntool last week. Price wasn't bad + free shipping. Got it mounted in the garage and called the plumber that installed everything else in the house for an estimate.

The gas distribution is on the wall in the basement adjacent to the garage. They basically have to run the line around the corner in an unfinished basement the poke a hole through the drywall (there is about 12" of drywall available n the basement that will make it into the garage). Then hook up the heater.

They want $800.00 for this. Sounds a little high to me, I doubt this is going to take more than an afteroon and too think of ~ 200.00 an hour for 4 hours of work sounds rough.

I'll get a few more estimates in. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this sort of thing and maybe knew the labor involved.

Thanks,
Jason
