I have close friends that live in Covington, Louisiana, and as of 6:30pm Sunday, were settled in to ride out the storm. Phone service isn't available to them yet, so if anybody has heard how the Covington area did (flooding, wind damage, etc.) please drop me an e-mail. I saw tonight where the causeway from Covington to New Orleans was seriously damaged, and is now impassable due to the rather large *chunks* of it missing!

Thanks gang!

Thanks Mark, Prayers were answered!I found out through a relative of theirs that the house lost part of the roof, and they lost several trees, but didnt get the flood damage, and everybody is fine. Keep the thoughts and prayers going, the worst flooding will most likely happen within days as the run off from all the storms comes back down the Mississippi River right back into New Orleans.

That whole situation is very sad. Praying for everyones safety in the gulf coast region. I used to be stationed in Gulfport Mississippi. I was actually there whenAndrew was supposed to hit Gulfport It is amazing how many people do not head evacuation warnings, even on base they told the non-essental personell, at least those that had somewhere to go, to go inland till after the storm.
