ok ive been biting my tongue now for the 5-6 months that ive lived in an apartment environment. dont get me wrong its a very nice place. i even got a private garage thats actually pretty big. rents as much as a house though. anyways ive been thinking that my garage air compressor is on the fritz so i just got back from out there i took the belt off, the electric motor works fine, i took the pump off tore it apart, and drained/refilled the oil.. it needed it pretty bad. i checked the cylinders blah blah blah its fine now and is actually even smoother. i hook it all up and it still sucks. the motor barely chugs along... i figured it out....

i got a #$@#$# 220v air compressor and a 110v wall outlet.. i cant use my mig welder now either. #$#@#@$ A!... 1 more reason to get the #$@#$ out of this apartment (lack of) life!

Sorry about your misfortune, it seems you have had a bit of bad stuff in your path lately. Would it be against ordinance to have an electric guy come in and wire you a 220v down there? Definately look into getting a house, you dont have neighbors all around like a house, and you can have your own party room/jeep engine repair room.
Im in college and lived in a dorm my first year, apartment for half a year (thank god i moved out of that hell hole), and now i am in a house with 4 room mates. I go to a school where I am the minority, the apartment I was living in surrounded me with all sorts of different types of people but it seems every one of them liked to start their party at 2:00 in the morning. My room mates in the apartment grew drugs in his room and had his baked friends over all the time. It sucked since I was the only one that liked to sleep and study, so getting a house even buying some property and camping out would be better than getting into an apartment again...IMO.

On the brightside its a whole new year not that it means anything but you can make something of it by setting a goal of where you want to be by this time next year and you will feel much better if you meet your goal. Another thing about apartment living that I hate is not having a driveway, at least you have a garage to keep your tools and jeep tops. If you ever need a place in louisiana or texas give me a ring and ill get you set up. Good luck to you
