Adversity does not build character "it reveals it"

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature,
nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright
exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Hmmm, funny how they promote themselves as being part of the DARPA program. Not a single vehilce in the challenge finished or even got very far for that matter.

yeah.. Noticed that. The vehicle is cool, but not very well suited for this stage of the Darpa stuff. The 'Red Team' last year had a ton (literally) of computing power and still couldn't crunch the input fast enough to safely go over about 35 mph.

The control sensor/software is what I going to win that challenge.

That said.. cool toy.

Driving on a gps mapped lined road is one thing. Driving a few hundred miles in the desert with only waypoint goals an no roads is another.

Even with Ratheon developed laser radar, high accurracy GPS (in the cm of accuracy range), and stereo vision systems the H1 of the Red team wandered a few feet off course over a dirt birm last time and just got stuck.

With the right software, a subaru brat will be faster than that tracked thing.

Now, if the tracked thingy was just what it seems to be now, a really fast/fun tracked vehicle. That would be the coolest thing since sliced bread.
