Still debating on the spring issue...will I gain any lift increase by switching to the Stock Rubicon Springs?
If not, can I run a 1.5" lift spring with the 2" BB I have on there now, to counteract the weight of accessories without other mods? (I had a good deal on the 1.5 springs)I don't know if I will gain anything with a 4.0, Hardtop ,alot of skid plates and alot of gear. Thanks for the patience guys This is just biding time until the funds are in place for a 4" LA lift. 2000 TJ Sahara 3" BD Suspension / 1" BL 33x12.5 Interco Trxus MTs and a bunch of other stuff... Interesting approach. No one can tell you with any degree of certainty. One sort of important item is if the springs came off a hardtop Rubicon.
In all probabilty, newer Rubicon springs should yield you about an inch over similar vintage springs. Since these are newer, you should gain just a little more. A lot depends on the service the Rubicon springs had prior to you getting them. If you want net gain, a lot depends on how many miles with what load your stock springs saw. You'd probably be better advised to include a set of coil spacers while you're going to all the effort. Dick Burg Remember, if you're not in the lead, the view's always the same. |
