Well I am doing the same thing in the next two weeks or so because my gas tank has failed me too many times. I have been doing some research and I am going to use an external fuel pump on an rci tank which is 30x17x7 17 gallons I like this because it keeps it lower in the back of the jeep. However I know that some people have used basically the same tank but standing so it would be 30x7x17 and have used the stock fuel pump. Here is a picture of the stock pump in the tank.

This one is a 15 gallon but you can get the idea
Another

And what I am going to do in the future is drop it in the floor but above the bottom of the frame so I can gain even more interior room.

www.summitracing.com they have a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and capacities. Also have aluminium vs plastic tanks.

that looks pretty good, but I've read in other threads and on other boards, that you've got to be careful with the brackets not ripping off. Even when installing them with rubber bushings ... (straps being better since the tank will allow for some movement/flexing)

just thought I'd let you know Rockcrawler

Yes I have heard this as well and am not sure what I am going to de yet. For now I am going to mount my rci tank inside the cabe probably with bushings and then going to eventually mount it to the frame
