Okay I need advice on my 2000 TJ. I have installed a 3 inch BDS lift with 2 inch spacers. I just purchased front and rear lower adjustable control arms, does anyone have recommendations how far to adjust them? Right now my rear axle sits an inch or so forward and I have some driveline vibration. Any advice for a kid on a LOW budget to make this thing fair out would help a lot. THanks Chris

welcome to Rockcrawler

what are you tring to do move the axle back an inch or fix the vibes? to fix the vibes more than likely you will have to point the pinion up witch would make your axle even closer to the front. do you have a SYE? if you do buy adj uppers for the back also and then you can move the axle back as well as fix the vibes, just make sure you have enough driveshaft to do it.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!!

i wouldnt run those 2 inch spacers on top of that lift, since it is short arm. you are just asking for front end problems. 5 inches is alot for short arm.

I would like to eliminate the vibes if it is possible but more than anything just to know where those arms need to be adjusted to.

take out the spacers, thats what i had to do.i had 2 inch spacers up front because of my winch and mounting plate, had to take them out.At the most i would only do a 1 inch spacer (if any) on a short arm. Also, make sure ur track bar is tight.

take out the spacers and run it that way until you can get a sye, also lowering it down will help with DW when you lift it back make sure you get the track bar and drag link at the same angle!!

thanks for the information, so what do you mean on measuring the stock arms and going from there? Is there any indication or position I am shooting for?

take the stock arm off and measure it from the center of the bolt holes then shorten or lenthen the adj to match that, then you need to see if you need to point the pinion up or down to reduce your vibes point up shorten the arms point down lengthen them, i don't think you get rid of the vibes with 5 inches of lift with just the lower links. lower down untill you can afford an sye and get a real one, not a hack and tap.

man work with me here i'm trying to help, the pinion is the part of the axle that the driveshaft connects to (for simpicity sakes). point it at the tcase where the drive shaft attaches. i would think that with 5 inches of lift that it would be pretty hard to get ride of the vibes without the sye just lower it down for now.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!!

Okay thanks for the help, I have decided when i put my adjustable arms on I am going to take out the 2 inch spacers. Do you think that should cure the driveline vibes?

it is definatly a start to cureing them, you might have to play with the pinion angle still, some do some don't every freaking jeep is different.
