Busted (actually chipped) the Yucon 5.13's in my 03 Rubicon Rear D-44 on Pritchett Canyon so its time to upgrade. I'm running 37's now and think I need the extra beef. So, debating the following:

True Hi 9 (5.14 gears) in a Currie built housing with 35 spline axles and a detroit. Cost is about 2100 for the True Hi 9 3rd member with detroit and gears plus 2200 for a Currie extreme duty housing (63.5 wide), 35 spline axle shafts, explorer brakes, TJ brackets, Figure about $4300 or so complete.

A Dynatrac Trail series Dana 60 rear, with detroit, 5.13's, disk brakes, in the 63.5 width, with TJ brackets, 35 spline axles, figure about $4300 complete.

Close in price, which would be better? What about axle shaft diameter, housing ridgidity, clearance, anything else?

George

03 TJ, done some stuff to it. Been some places.

What do they each weight ? With brackets etc. I went two inches wider for bigger wheels - got no problem with Dyna-Track - its the only custom axle I ever got and I got what I payed for...
