I can start my jeep and drive it for about 5 miles until it heats up and then it will start sputtering like crazy. If I give it full throttle then it will run fine but if I let up on it, it will start sputtering, any solutions??

My grand cherokee did the same thing, and it was a crank sensor. Could even be a tps.

throttle positioning sensor... run a computer diagnosis on it. if its heating up its not the gas per say. i'd say its electrical since your computer runs most everything. get it coded.. are you getting a check engine light?

Have you done anything lately that was out of the ordinary? Did it just start acting up one day when you started it?

I would agree with BrokenUjoint, get it coded by a shop. That will tell you everything that is potentially wrong with it.

if you still got an older TJ, you don't need no stinkin' dealership to get the code -> just do the ignition switch coding Wink

More info on your Heep would help Rockcrawler
