Aussie lockers are pretty good, they are equivalent to lock right lockers. However,I would not use it in the front if the vehicle is ever going to see the street. It would tear that axle and the locker up from every corner/turn you take.

Not sure where the previous poster got his info, but the Aussie won't hurt you when driving on the street at all. I've installed plenty of 'em for folks in my club, and all of them rave about it. When driving on the street, in 2WD, you will hear some quiet clicking as you turn...that's it. No handling issues, no binding up the driveline, and pulls like a champ on the trails.
Having installed both Powertrax and Aussies, I'd recommend the Aussie. It may be a few bucks more, but it's got a better way to retain the springs and pins then the Powertrax. If you have 3.07 gears, it can be installed in the diff, if you have numerically higer gears, then you have to pull the carrier and ring gear. This doesn't affect the setup of the gears, you just need to get the ring gear out of the way so you can remove the cross pin and get everything out and the locker in.
To boldly go where we're too stupid to know any better.
