I'm wanting to convert my rear brakes to disc. I already bought the Teraflex rear disc kit from 4x4rockshop. Do I need to change my Master cylinder for one from a vehicle with 4 wheel discs, or can I just swap out my proportioning valve for one from a Rubi??

Hard to compare stuff when I'm in Korea, the parts are in Maryland and the Jeep is in Alaska....

HA! Sounds like me, although I'm working in Antarctica, live in Missouri, and just had the cage and bumper installed in Michigan!

Anyway, from everything that I've read you just need to change the porportioning valve. I've also heard you can use one from a Rubi or one from a ZJ. Never done it myself though.

You can remove an o-ring from the proportioning valve to balance it out. That's what was done to mine, and it works good.

Polarfire --> LOL! Sounds we are in the same boat!!

Pete --> Thanks, I will do that then. I take it you mean pull the o-ring under hood??
