Now that I have raised the fuel tank into the bed, I can hear a high pitched whistle coming from the top of the tank (the pump) when its running. I think this is normal but never heard it before......is it?

I suspect I wont hear it once I box it in.

Yup, perfectly normal - mine did that until I covered it up, now I barely hear it.
