After months of work, and the melting of my credit card, it all came together today. Finally got out with all my new toys, got stuck in mud up to my rockers and pulled myself out with my Mile Marker hyd winch, got stuck in off camber holes and flipped the switch on my Eaton Elockers and idled right out, and 4.88 gears in my new Dana 44s FINALLY have my crawl ratio back where it should be! Sorry, no pix, my wife is the designated photographer and she couldn't come with today. Thanks to all you folks here (and David at Northridge 4x4) with the tech write-ups, and answers to questions going back 2 years that have helped me make my choices and make them correctly! With the exception of tube bumpers, my first "mod", I haven't regretted one thing I've done to my Jeep.

Sounds great, what 44 did you end up going with up front. Custom built, or home brew. Also, post some pics.

Got a new rubi housing, put in Superior shafts, and just transfered over my outters. Pretty easy, even came from dealer with ball joints already installed. I had David at Northridge 4x4 set up the gears.

Im looking to do the same with a ruby housing, im thinking 4.88's a detroit or arb, and a 5x5.5 conv.
