i have the bestop halftop and i live in winnipeg manitoba canada aka winterpeg. our winters are really harsh. i am wondering if anyone knows if the top can hack the cold weather? thanks.

Thats colder than we get here, by a longshot. The top itself will probably survive for a while, but there are some things to consider. If you touch the back window, its history. The plastic just cracks as soon as you touch it. The fabric itself should survive nicely. With the reduced space to heat inside, it should do OK. As it heats up it'll melt the ice that forms on the outside. If you only make short trips and never full heat it, you'll have trouble.

I wouldn't dare put my soft top on in the winter (I'm in Edmonton, Alberta). I agree the plastic will probably shatter once it hits -20 or 30....I however would be more worried about how frozen you will be driving it!

Your best option is to come down here to AZ - where it is SOOOOO fine - while the snow piles up

thanks for the info. put the hardtop back on i guess. it was just so convenient with the halftop. but till next year. its already getting cold out here. can't wait till the snow drops. love rippin it in the white stuff. later.
