Eventually you guys will get sick of me asking questions but a guy has to find the answers to these things somewhere and I think you guys on here are the best option. Here goes.....If I were to install a 1 inch body lift what other things do I need to do to compensate for it? Thanks for the help.

Your kit should come with everything you need to do the job right. The two things you need to look for are the relocator for the transfercase shifter, and the brackets for moving the fan shroud. Some kits don't have brackets and just tell you to drill new holes in the shroud to put it in the right location. I prefer the brackets because the fan is a pain to get off to remove the shroud for drilling, and getting a drill in there with the shroud on is, well......difficult at the least.

u could also do a motor mount lift, and eliminate the new radiator and shifter brackets.

Go with the motor mount lift if you can afford it easily enough. Down the road it allows room for a belly up skid. It also will give you a better rear drive shaft angle (though slight). I went with one, and i havnt looked back.

A big advantage of the motor mount lift is that not only
is the shroud in the right place according to what the fan needs but the shroud is in the right place on the radiator which means a little extra cooling. No small thing with low speed crawling being the highest stress level your cooling system will ever see. You should be careful and ask dumb questions about everything. Most of us would rather take two minutes to clue a newbie in - rather - than spend six hours getting you off the trail when one of the mods goes south... With any mod - test - test - test. So that means find a nice safe place close to recovery were you can check out your mods so you are sure they are working OK. For me it was a group of rocks about five minutes from home that did nicely to flex the rig and put it through its paces - and a trail that took about an hour that was not to tough. 98/97 TJ, 4.0L, Atlas II 4.3 4.56 & ARBs, RE LA 4.5 Lift,BFG 35 6 pt cage, 5 pt belts, Beard seats, 2 compressors, 2M -6M radio, Winch, BP Bumpers,Sliders,K&N,RS 9000, RE track bars F/R, 24 Gal Tank, D30F/D44R, Steel 15x8 and an F-250 recovery vehicle... |

What if I canned the BL idea and went with a 3 inch suspension lift? I know I would need to install a transfer case drop kit but does dropping the T-case present any other new problems that I would need to deal with?
