Ok,
Put 3000k miles on the Jeep last weekend.. Yup, drove to gilbert MN, wheeled it for two days, then drove back.
Pass side MM was weak when I left, now its toast. Looking to see if someone with an automatic TJ has installed the MORE bombproof or other aftermarket MM. Looking to see how bad the vibes are with these mounts in gear sitting at lights.

Don't really need a MM lift.I've got the t-case sitting where the nth TT will put it, and on 4" of lift with JB super shorty I'm not having any vibes (just ask me about chasing ORO Steve from St. Paul to Gilbert at "ludicrous" speed)

I can't help you with the MORE mounts, but I just installed the Currie mounts last night. I'm very happy Big Grin with the results. No vibes at all. The whole rig feels tighter.

ive had the currie mounts for about 4 yrs now. they are OK i guess. they are starting to wear out and i dont like how the one bolt on each is not welded to the body of the mount. it is a PITA to get it tight and i actually was going to go w/the MORE bombproof mount. why is it so bad?

Not saying they were bad. Just looking to see if they are much more 'vibey' than stock. Had a poly mount on the Auto tranny for about a week and I couldn't stand it. Sitting in gear in the auto just vibed like crazy.

The MORE 'torsion rubber' seems to be the ticket, just haven't seen one in action yet.

I had the Currie MM, the driver's side melted. No, I do not have an exhaust leak.

I replaced them with the MORE bombproof mounts, much better. Easier to install, less vibration than the Currie. I also noticed they ended up being about 3/8" taller than the Currie.

the currie ones do put out alot of vibe. i noticed it right away when i put it on. im pretty anal though. i also noticed my RE 3 piece skid plate made my jeep solid as a piece of iron man bicep. heres what the currie ones look like.

My MORE torsion rubber mounts are still holding strong. I have installed many Currie mounts and have to say they look dinky compared to the MORE mounts.

Thanks for the insight ya'll.

After checking with the dealer for the stock ones. They list for $50 each, just the rubber part (I can get them for better, but not really enough better).

I figure the $120 from the Rockshop for the MORE mounts will work, so I ordered a set.

Now maybe the darn engine will stop dancing around at idle.

Speaking of the rockshop, anybody see that 100th anniversary high lift on there, handyman green and silver. Might have to order that with the motor mounts.

Might have to get one for my XJ bud. I've already got a bunch of his parts painted John Deer green, since anything that sits in my garage too long gets painted some odd color.

Just got a call at work from Mike at the rockshop. He wanted to make sure I really intended on using the stock height mounts before sending them out. Guess everyone always orders the lifted ones. I'm weird, go figure.

Oh well, all jeep owners are different. Let me know how they work out for ya, and how much a pita the drivers side mount is.

I run the more moints with an auto and have no issues with vibration.

Then I installed a urethane t-case mount and I feel vibes.. but it's no big deal and I've gotten used to it.

The trans mount has been there for about 2 years now.. I don't think it's going to break (in) anytime soon.
