Has anyone seen this lift in action or have it? Has anyone seen a detailed write up on it? If so, how does it stack up against RE, Full Traction, or the Clayton (comparable) lifts?

I check out here Web site and the underbelly clearance looks great.

I believe the current issue of JP Magazine (I think it's JP) has a write up on the install of the lift into one of the Poison Spyder "show" Jeeps. It definitly has better clearance under the rear arms...

Got some pics from Ok4wd's web site.

The lift looks amazing to me. clearance is awesome. I'm waiting for them to get the 8.8 stinger figured out (signed up to be a test mule when they get to it). Then I'll hack it together with AiRock sensors and call it a day on the suspension for a while.

The write up in jeep magazine is pretty good, the pink jeep with 18's seems to through it off a bit Red Face. The jeep can also be seen as poisonspydercustoms.com. There is just something about the lift i just cant get use to, i think it is the front radius arms.

The bends do look a little odd (BTW.. you XJ guys can get something similar at http://www.tntcustoms.com)
But.. you gotta love the clearance.

There just isn't a TJ la kit out there right now with that little bit of stuff hanging down. especially for 03" TJs (the RE skid seems to hang really low on them)

That does really tuck things up there. Do you need a motormount and 1inch body for that crossmember?

Nope..

Just barely fits without a BL as long as there is no ML. That's what the bumps in the bottom of it are for + the new low profile tranny mount.

Bad part for me is that my TJ is becoming more nonstandard. AW-4 will take some fabbing also.

I guess i would more more then ok, with the nv3550 and a 1inch body. SOmething to think about rather then doing the long arm upgrade with my rubicon lift.

Those pre-bent arms in the rear look like they'd be likely to buckle under load. Plus, if they get a little (more) bent on the trail, how do you tell since they are already bent? I guess time will tell.

I'd read the write up in JP but, I couldn't believe JP got a shot at it before Rockcrawler!!!!!!!!!!

What's going on here??? Confused

I do like the idea of the kit. After looking at some of the other kits, I'm kinda leaning towards going with their 6" kit.

I Highly doubt they would "buckle" there are Many many applications not only stock on a Jeep but through out the Automotive industry that use a pre bent type arm. One location on a TJ are the track bars. Ever hear of one bending? Nope, but you sure hear of the brackets getting bent or torn off.

Look at a few of the monster trucks out there. Some use pre bent arms also in the suspension design.

Its all in the quality and workmanship of the material and item. And I have Never seen anything by Nth that was not to the highest I have ever seen.

Just my .02

Track bars are not under the same kind of load that suspension links are. They don't have to transfer the torque from the axle to moving a 3400+ lb vehicle forward. Yes, if the links were properly sized and analyzed for the expected loads, then they should be fine. Maybe they are solid bar stock for all I know.

I'm just saying that I would be cautious because a bent arm of the same material, diameter, and wall thickness will be much weaker in compression than a straight one. I have seen custom suspension links that were supposed to be straight bent into a "u". The same holds true for steering links. Aftermarket companies aren't under the same strict standards as OEM or monster trucks builders. I'm not bashing Nth Degree, just pointing out a possible concern. Smile

have you seen what is under a stock jeep? I have to say that those sheet metal arms surprise the hell outa me to begin with.

For a little insight though, most applications can benifit strength wise from a tube rather the solid. IF the matieral used is of a high grade quality metal.

I hope to see this kit though used by some, as I prefer to fab and build my own, this kit looks to be one that I would rather buy and use. Looks very well thought out and designed. Time will tell...

Stupid

I've been runing the early tera setup for about 3 years now. It has bent rear lowers and hasn't given me grief, but then again I really don't beat on my Jeep that bad.

Most rear bends I've seen/heard of are from landing the arms on something, not from force between the mounts. If its bent up and out of the way, you won't hit it, therfore won't bend it.

I've been looking to swap the Tera kit out for a while, but haven't found a lift that I thought was "right". Nth seems to have nailed this one. I just need to work on the funds and them to get an 8.8 stinger figured out.

I to was considering the nth kit to replace my wore out re kit but as seen in JP I cant get pass the article part that states"The road manners are good enough to hand over the keys to just about anyone,BUT the soft rubber bushings ALLOW some AXLE TWIST OFF-ROAD when you really stand on the gas in low range. It's not a major problem if done ONLY OCCASIONALLY.IF YOU ARE A HAM FISTED,MOSTLY OFF ROAD DRIVER,THIS MAY NOT BE THE KIT FOR YOU!!well I'm mostly offroad and hard on it!

The kit seems pretty nice....

but: Stock trac bars and coil spacers Roll Eyes

For the price it just seems like they skimped hard on two important items.

Is that Really a stock front trac-bar?? If it is it is rotated so ultimatly it really isnt stock. It is in the perfect rotational design now, even if it is the stock bar. Which I really dont think it is?

Ok and after looking again at the pictures.. are you really serious that you are dis-crediting thier kit for a 3/4" urethene spacer?? thats not very fair, dont you think?

It sure looks like the front driveshaft will be draging across the rocks before the control arms. Good thing those bent arms are up and out of the way and being protected by the front driveshaft Roll Eyes
