how can I get more flex? what about those revolver shackles, are they as cool as they sound? I don't think a coil conversion kit is within budget but I also never seen a price on them ether. Are there any other options? also most of my lift is from my shackles, revolver shackles will lower me back down almost to frame, wont they?

I personally run the revolver shackles. they are cool for flexing and their street characteristics aren't bad either. the only problem I run into with them is that they clank on my frame and actually rest on the frame. I believe it has to do with the jeep's frame being bent. yes they will lower you back to stock height especially if you are running longer shackles. if I were you I would just save some paper and buy a good quality lift kit. the longer shackles is just wrong, it screws up with your steering geomotry, and tire placement. They can also screw with your approach and departure angle if you are running the extra long ones.

ok since he asked about revolvers ive got to ask about the z-boxes. theyre suppost to "work in conjunction with revolvers". does anyone know what that means?

about the flex...somone told me to buy a wrangler conversion kit. Old Man Emu makes one that comes with 2.5 lift springs. but its not as cheap as a shackle lift.

go with a spring over with your stock springs. You might have to do a little work with the steering angles but it will give you alot of flex and lift. Or just get a 4" suspension lift.

The coil conversion is redonkulous in price.

I'm having Alcan build me a set of 5.5" lift springs that are 5" longer from the center pin to the frame. They are also going to have "orbit-eyes" instead of bushings. (There sort of like the flex joints in a RE control arm.) They allow 38 degrees of movement with no binding. You can check out the joints at aor4x4.com. Should flex well and solve my problem of my CJ eating bushings.
