Howdy all, I am thinking of becoming a new cj owner. I really know nothing about CJs coming from a TJ. What does everyone think about the followong set-up for meduim duty off road (limited or no crawling). I would apperciate any help.

There is only 1 thing I would change that's the T150. I'd swap the T150 for a T18 4sp. Then if the axles are narrow trac I'd swap for wide trac.
Sounds like a nice Jeep. How much do they want?


86' CJ7, 258,T18,D44's 4.56 f/r, Detroit front, Warn shafts, CTM joints, rear spool, 4wheel disc, SOA w/ wagoneer springs, custom shackle reversal, 38"tsl, Allied Beadlocks,8274-50 Warn, Custom 6 point cage, custom bumpers, and still building.

I bought it. Everything was well build and maintained. I would like to swap the tranny in the future. The axles are also rebuilt, someplace in Indiana, mosser or something...All for $8,000. See ya all on the trail.....
