If you could build your dream truck....what would it be made of. I am starting with an '85 CJ. It needs to be streetable but the sky is the limit. I would like everything from tires to lift to auto inflation. Give this some thought.

Thanks,

Jamie

Mine would be a CJ8, but I am biased WinkSince I'm dreamin', I would start with a Matkins frame set up for coils and install Black Diamonds' coil conversion. Axles would be Pro-rock 60's(fullwidth of course Big Grin) stuffed with 5.13's and ARB lockers. Steering would be the Poison Spyder hi-steer crossover conv. with a PSC ram and pump for assist duties. Powering everything would be a Flowmaster dual exhausted Vortec 5.7 w/an aliminum radiator with twin electric fans hooked to a built 700R4 and to an Atlas 4 spd t-case. A JP aluminum tub would reside on top of the frame. The interior would be completely Rhino-lined, Mastercraft seats, 5 point harness, Flaming River steering column, Grant steering wheel, and I would have my favorite local fabricator build a full interior cage with an integrated spare tire carrier. No exo-cage for me, Poison Spyder corner crushers will do. The paint would be hunter green, but the armor would be powder coated black. No chrome...anywhere. Out front the new Warn Powerplant would reside for recovery and inflation duties. Creature comforts, I don't need or want alot, Autometer white face gauges, Sony CD w/a couple of 6x9's, and a C.B. All of this would roll on black Stazworks beadlocks with 39.5x16.5x15 Pitbull Rockers. Ahhhh, I like dreamin' Big Grin

'83 CJ 8,chevy 4.3 TBI,TH350,D300,SOA w/3" springs,fullwidth D44fr,14bolt rear,5.13's,Detroits,39.5x16.5x15 Pitbull Rockers,cage, and other goodies

robin,

you must have been talking to my buddy dennis... you just described his 82 cj7 project. with the exception of his factory body, rock jocks, and some form of 37's.

its true, great minds do think alike!
