I have a 63 CJ5 with the offset 44 rear. I have a custom built full float kit in it so I can flat tow. I had the 44 axles splined to 27 spline so the front and rear hubs are interchangeable. Last year I did Moab without a problem, except an outter stub shaft. This year on Fordyce and the Barrett lake trail, I blew the left rear one, TWICE. Any ideas why? By the way, Warn is replacing them. Check out the picts at http://thigh190.tripod.com or http://www.brush-busters.com

Been there done that. Check your shaft length. I have the same outfit on my 99 TJ. Changed the Detroit for Aussie lock and needed to turn just over 1/2" off. Be sure to measure twice and cut once if needed. Then you will be ready to climb ready-rock at the Badlands. Ask Troy if you can see the Desert racer pick-up, it's one BAD,BAD Ride.
