Was considering some FI options to ditch the evil, evil carb. Came across a couple of propane conversion kits for my 258. Anybody know of anyone running LP on their Jeep ? The kits I saw are actually cheaper than the FI kits offered by Howell, Mopar, etc. Almost sounds too good to be true.

Propane injections is awesome, I almost converted mine but I ran into these problems...
Street legal
Fuel stations
Mounting the tank
Other then those challenges I would have been good to go. Reasons: 110 octance, simple design, easy fuel tank removal/access, you can flip and it will still run until the oil gets into the cylinders. A typical conversion should run about $500 plus a tank and misc. parts. So if your wondering, Is that really how much it is? Then yes it probably is.

One more thing to remember when wheeling on propane is when you run out. Not many others run propane so your stuck.
This also applies to diesels.

Both are hard to come by in the boonies.
