i have heard something about using a XJ front shaft and have it lenghtened\shortened for a cheap cv rear shaft?
anyone else hear anything about it? 82 Jeep CJ-7 258 bored .40 over, 4.0 head, tfi upgrade, weber 32/36, custom 2.5" exhaust, no emissions, manual electric fan (blower), 3-core 360 rad for GW d30, amc20 w/ 1-piece axles, trussed d300 xfer twin stick tf999 rebuilt w/ trans-go reprogram kit, b&m shifter, transcooler 88 tub\cage, cj dash, cj frontend 3" black diamond sua 1.75" lift shackles 1" body lift custom hd steering box mount waggy 4 turn steering box upgrade |

Havent heard of this,,but with the cost of shortening and balancing, etc it might not be worth it cost-wise to go this route. I had a CV put on my CJ-5's rear shaft for like 210$.
