I'm contemplating a trail only project and need some input.

I have a Full size K5 Blazer that was bought as a parts vehicle. The mechanicals are perfect (actually drove it home) but the body is BAD. No title so no legal. The engine goes to my dad but the rest is mine, so I was thinking about buying a 1990 2WD S10 extended cab, welding the bed to the cab, mounting it to the Blazer frame with a 305 TBI motor I have,a 6" lift and 33s. The radiator will be bed mounted and the wheel wells will be cut to accomidate the extended wheelbase. It'll be more for general bashing than anything else.
Has anyone done this? are there any foreseeable problems I'm overlooking in concept? I think it'll be cool.
