Brand new at off-roading with my own 4x4, but have had my old Chevy C10 2x4 and friends' 4x4s into places others couldn't seem to get to. I just picked up a new 03 S-10 Blazer 4dr 4x4. It is all stock except for the largest BFG All-Terrains I could fit underneath it. I've had it into the woods far beyond anything I ever would have taken in my old Chevy C10. Great goin-campin ride. I like the vehicle so far and am duly impressed with its versatility. I'm not going into the full tilt rock crawling thing just yet. I want to still be able to drive it about town too. Most RC's don't look street legal. How I can modify it reasonably for better clearance and articulation. Is that doable? Pappy
A lift kit. 5" by trailmaster will get 32" under it, maybe 33" with some rubbing. Is it worth $1200 bucks to gain 1 to 1-1/2" of ground clearance and more articulation?
Do you have the factory limited slip? If not, it might be wiser to get a rear locker first?
I am old, slow, and full of it.
