I have a buddy who is lookin to start building his 85 half ton, he is just lookin to put on a lift to fit 38" tires. I have always built jeeps so when he asked me what he needed to do i really didnt know what all had to be done. here are some questions he had:
1. what sized lift for 38"s?
2. What kind of driveshafts? Front and Rear?
3. Would a axle swap be needed?

Just general stuff like that, so if you have ever done anything like this please write me back so I can finally get his lazy *** off the couch.

i had a 76 half ton, it had 44 up front and 12 bolt rear with 4.88's it had a 6" superlift spring lift with add a leafs all the way around and a 3" body lift for a total 11ish inch lift 38.5x 15.5 15 super swamper sx's it worked pretty good for cruisin around , and some light rock crawling but the fenders would start to make funny noises Wink if you articulated it very much
