There's a new shop in town, just south and on the opposite side of 191 from Moab 4x4, and they took great care of my bro' in law while we were there last week. He had originally talked to the guys at Moab 4x4, and they told him to bring his Jeep in at 8am, and repairs would run a little over $200 and take about 2-2.5 hours. Well, he sat around at their gate until 8:20 and nobody showed. He remembered seeing the new shop, Moab 4x4 Outpost, and headed over there. In a little over one hour, and only $115 later, he was back on the road! He said there are some of the guys from Moab 4x4 working there. He spoke very highly of the shop, and being he has worked as a mechanic for around 30 years, that's quite a compliment coming from him!

So next time you need some work done while wheelin' Moab, check them out. Hopefully your experience will be as good. Big Grin

Just got back from Moab. Broke my rear driveshaft and end yoke, had them put on the new parts and check out the rear diff. They were super nice (Hi Rhonda and Locker!), very professional, and did excellent work for a reasonable price. 5 stars.

Last year at EJS a buddy of mine distroyed a 9" on potato salad hill. We checked around everybody said it would be a couple days. Moab 4x4 outpost said they would make a couple calls and call him back. Thay called back in about 2 hours and had found a center section and would be able to get to it right away. They found a centersection, set the gears and had him going in about 3 hrs and I believe he spent around $200 with a tee shirt and window sticker.

Are we discussing the old Sinclair station on the east side of 191? Thats Tom Wood's son running that one. I stopped during the Jeep Safari and picked up one of the new offset Ujoints. Thats not the time to judge speed of work, they were swamped.

Dick, this place is at the former "Do It" Yourself home improvement center just down the road. They did some welding for me over Easter and it was clean work. They were fair on the pricing and got me in quick even though they were busy.

The location stated by COL Mustard is correct except the "DoIt Best" center is an on going business and although it looks closed at times it is open, alive and well.
As far as Moab 4x4 Outpost goes they are without exception the best 4wd sop I have ever been in to. They are competent, professional, courteous, reliable and timely in their work.
