I didn't post an announcement because I have the feeling that most posting here live way too far away to make going worthwhile. Worse still, it rained all day Saturday and was windy and cold Sunday. It was still a good meet.

I didn't buy anything, but there were a lot of sellers or people wanting to sell off their junk. Because we're primarily a racing club, much of the goodies were surplus from that side of the sport. But there was also a lot of what I refer to as "hard parts". Things like axles, gears, tranny's, Tcases, engines, etc.

Some items suprised me. There was a time just recently when Dana 300s were in short supply and the price was fairly high. There was at least a dozen of them on trailers an in the back of pickup trucks, and the going price seemed to be $100.

There were 2 old Warn 8274s, and the condition of them was poor at best. Both wanted in the $450 range. Thats crazy. While they're very good winches, they're just not worth that.

I've never been one to buy used tires. I prefer to use them and then sell them. It seems like there were a significant number of people buying big tires that were partially worn. I guess the discount makes it worthwhile. I prefer to put the first half treadlife on them, not the 2nd half! Smile

There's another meet within driving distance this upcoming Saturday. Its being held in Middletown, OH and is usually a good meet. If anyone is interested in directions, I can post them.
