HELLO KSULLY.
I hope that you will give us pics of all your modifications on your WHEELY KING.

I do not have this model, but I am interested nevertheless in this crawler.
Its scale is 1/12 I believe, therefore a little smaller than the NEWBRIGHT.
The important thing is to have a crawler which gives us satisfaction on the rock and which is left almost all the difficult situations.

I saw some videos WHEELY KING and they have really to impress me.

85 turn... buddy, i am jealous, that is crazy sweet! i say do that and the gears for serious! if you are going to do a full on crawler (which would be a good idea and keep the nb a basher) it would be the best, cant wait to see it torque monster it way up something

I just ordered "kreepy's" red foams ( narrow ) for my moabs - when the get here I am going to weight the wheels ( rims ) with these

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXK204&P=ML

I have found the WK a little light at times.... more unsprung weight should give some more traction Big Grin

( just peel off the back and stick em around the inside of the rim / wheel )

and then put the foams on, and we'll see what happens - will let you know how they perform...

I'm hoping that maybe they'll come at the end of this week !

good luck with the build Smile

I got an email from him saying that they had been sent - so now it's wait time - I hope next week - but the guys at the border are a bit off at times, after their DNA / Carbon Dating tests there may not be much left Big Grin

ps: love THAT chassis

Just out of curiosity, why would you need an 85t motor? I have a 55t with the 96/15 gearing and I have to back off on the throttle in some tight spots for fear of snapping something - axles in particular. The 55t with 96/15 gearing is more than enough torque and I have yet to find a situation where I've run out of torque. Be careful with the 85t - you only need so much torque!!!

I just ordered two sets of Junfac beadlocks (41.00 CDN with shipping included

http://www.junfac.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_...9c89af504a313f7dc66f

When they arrive I plan on making my own foam inserts using memory foam to see how they work.

Cheers,
Sean
