This one is still a two wheel drive with the links extended and a new longer drive shaft.

I read an interesting thread over on rccrawler about articulation and how much you need. It appears that the consensus is that you don't need this much articulation to crawl. After driving myself nuts trying to get more flex out of the NB, I am inclined to beleive this, i.e., that you don't need near 90 degrees of flex. I Seem to recall 60 degrees being enough.

I could be wrong and stand to be corrected.

Just a thought, the WK in the vid (posted by phatchantz) could be converted into a front wheel drive rig. Wonder if a front drive rig could crawl?

Gumbi:

After seeing the PITA trying to crawl with only three wheels spinning (broken front axle) I can't imagine the furstration of only two wheels. Although I would've had an easier time if it was the rear axle that broke - but still. You need all those wheels turning, baby.
